Special Note: This pattern is from a magazine by Lily Threads. Skytone was a brand name as was Daisy mercerized crochet cotton. Instructions are written in vague terms, example: if the Row states: "31 sc, (3 sc in next st) 3 times, 31 sc", it means to work a sc in next 31 sts, (3 sc in next st) 3 times, sc in next 31 sts.

Body: (Using Rose Fraise or other color)
Row 1) Note: Work tightly In 3 strands Skytone and size 0 hook, ch 30; turn work, working across foundation chain; 15 sc, 3 hdc, 10 dc, 9 dc in last ch, working back across foundation chain in free loops, 10 dc, 3 hdc, 15 sc.

Row 2) Ch 1, turn work; sc in last sc, (dc in next st, sc in next) around.

Row 3) Ch 1, turn work; 31 sc, (3 sc in next st) 3 times, 31 sc.

Row 4) Repeat Row 2.

Row 5) Ch 1, turn work; 35 sc, 3 sc in center st, 35 sc.

Row 6) Repeat Row 2.

Row 7) Ch 3, turn work; dc in last 2 sc, 1 hdc, 33 sc, 3 sc in center st, 33 sc, 1 hdc, and 2 dc.

Row 8) Ch 1, turn work; 10 slip sts, 1 sc, (dc and sc) 27 times, 1 slip st, decreasing 9 end sts.

Row 9) Ch 2, turn work, skip slip st and 1 sc, sc around to end puff, slip st in end sc.

Row 4) Repeat Row 2 with 1 more puff.

Row 5) Repeat Row 3.

Rows 6-9) Repeat Rows 4 and 5 respectively.

Row 10) Repeat Row 2: 15 puffs.

Row 11) Ch 1, turn work; sc around.

Row 15) Ch 1, turn work; sc around, decrease 2 sts in center, 1 st between decreases.

Ears: Make two
Ch 22, skip last 4 sts, 13 dc on ch, (2 dc, in 1st, 1 dc in next) twice, 2 dc in end st. ch 3, turn work, dc in last 18 dc, dc in next 3 dc made into a Cluster, ch 4, turn work, skip Cluster, dc in next 3 dc for a Cluster, 16 dc. Ch 1, turn work; hdc in last dc, 12 dc, dc in 4 dc for a Cluster. Ch 1 turn work; 1 sc, 2 hdc, 9 dc, (dc and hdc) in 1st st, slip st in end st. Fasten off, secure ends.

Tail:
Cut 40 strands 8" long. Double and wrap tightly to 3/4" from end. Fasten and trim ends evenly. Stuff Body hard with fiber fill. Sew top of Head together, stuff trunk, sew Head to Body, leaving an opening and stuff with fiber fill. Sew Ears on Head.

Eye:
In Black floss and size 5 hook, ch 3, 10 hdc in 1st st and fasten off. Make a tiny White st just off center. Make 2 eyes and sew on Head.
